Deborah Bernstein is a well-known and respected activist in her community. She is a mother to four children and a dedicated wife. With her husband Ted, she formed the Ted and Deborah Bernstein Family Foundation (BFF), established in 2007 to help children and families in distress gain access to critically needed therapeutic counseling, typically not affordable under today’s health care system.
She helped found Make a Difference USA, a foundation that also provides aid to families, children, and schools in need. She has taken part in many other charitable organizations including the Jewish Federation, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the American Cancer Society, the Humane Society of Greater Miami, the Jewish Guild for the Blind, and One Laptop Per Child.
As a national pageant winner, Deborah Bernstein is aware of the problems young girls are faced with today. With her Stylish Stella book series, she intends to provide a trusted resource for girls to turn to when they feel insecure about themselves that will build an important foundation of confidence and self-esteem. With every Stylish Stella book sold, a portion of the proceeds are donated to the Ted and Deborah Bernstein Family Foundation, providing aid to struggling children and families in need.
